VIKING

Some may recognise this digital painting if they have ever visited the Runegame.com forums. I used a smaller version as my Avatar.

Although I was inspired by the game, Rune, this was not a piece of Fan Art.

I started to paint this picture in Painter Classic, using mostly the oil brushes. I then switched to PaintShop Pro and used the Airbrush and Smudge tools to tweak it. I find the Smudge tool especially useful for metallic effects and fine hair. I also used the LightenRGB tool to add a few highlights.

I will probably add a background at a later date.
